My Approach to Counselling
I specialize in working with relational challenges, nervous system dysregulation, and self-worth difficulties that are rooted in childhood or adult experiences, or previous trauma.
I welcome diverse clients of ages (16+), cultures, genders, sexual orientations and abilities.
In our work together, my top priority is our relationship - ensuring that you feel seen, heard and accepted. I combine values of curiosity, patience, and connection in meeting my clients in wherever they are that day, or in their journey. I bring a genuine and direct approach to therapy. Lastly, I am a big believer in integrating humor and joy in therapy.
I often work with individuals who are experiencing:
Relationship difficulties
Family of origin difficulties
Fertility, perinatal, postpartum or parenting difficulties
Difficulty managing emotions and experiences alone
Struggling with substance misuse
Grief and loss
Stress and overwhelm with their life
I often work with couples who find themselves:
Having the same argument repeatedly without resolution
Feeling misunderstood, stuck, or disconnected in their relationships
navigating fertility challenges or who are anywhere on their parenting journey
Lack of physical and/or emotional intimacy
Living like roommates
